Christine McCullough received the M.F.A. degree in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore and the B.A. degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

She is currently an Associate Professor of drawing and painting, and the Foundation Program Coordinator in the Department of Art at Youngstown State University. Previously she held positions at Towson University and Stevenson University in Maryland. Prior to receiving her M.F.A. she worked in the private sector as an art and creative director for advertising, publishing, and communications and marketing firms in New York, Baltimore and Washington D.C.

Her research interests focus primarily on narrative, figurative painting in oil and encaustic. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is included in numerous private collections.
